Lacosapreziosa runs excavation and grading for builders and homeowners across Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and the surrounding Kootenai County communities. We handle the groundwork most jobs live or die on: site preparation and grading, foundation and basement digs, land clearing and grubbing, utility trenching, drainage, and compacted structural fill. Whether the lot is a tight infill near Sherman Avenue or acreage out toward Hayden, we set it up to build on.

North Idaho ground is not uniform. One parcel is clean glacial gravel and the next is sticky clay with a seam of buried rock, and each gets dug and compacted its own way. That is why we walk a site before we quote it, read the drainage and soil, and set a cut-and-fill plan that leaves you a pad at the right elevation instead of a surprise a season later.

How We Work

• We read the site first. Standing water, a slope toward the pad, or soft soil where footings land all get caught during the walk, not after the pour.
• 811 before we dig. We file the free underground locate on every job so buried lines are marked before a bucket moves.
• Compaction you can trust. We place fill in lifts and test to roughly 95 percent Proctor so footings sit on solid subgrade.
• A written scope. You get a clear price and plan before any dirt moves.
